Chin surgery (implant).

Chin surgery

It is important to evaluate the patient, watch his/her profile. Many rhynoplasties (nose) may lead to a smaller chin, with a consequent feeling of bigger nose than what the patient has. In these cases the surgeon may suggest the insertion of a small implant in the chin area, which will allow a better balance of the profile.

Surgery and postoperative care

It is a simple surgery which may be carried out with local anesthesia and sedative. It is performed on an outpatient basis.

The incision is performed in the lower vestibule (inside the mouth) or in the submental region.

surgery may be performed by itself or together with a rhynoplasty (nose surgery).
